Nonprofit Spotlight
Since 1977, Keep Charleston Beautiful has been working to promote a clean and beautiful environment in Charleston. Affiliated with Keep America Beautiful and Palmetto Pride, Keep Charleston Beautiful strives to fulfill this mission through education, public awareness and community cleanups. In fact, they just wrapped up their annual Clean Cities Sweep, which is a large citywide volunteer effort to clean up debris and litter. They also have the Clara's Kids Club which is a presentation geared towards K-2 student to teach them the importance of a litter free environment and will soon be offering a new Sustainable Yard Program.
