Started in 1976 as a weekly "adopt a pet" newspaper column, Pet Helpers has become widely known and respected for their innovative solutions to the problems that arise from pet overpopulation. pet Helpers truly focuses on the needs of animals by operating a no kill shelter, maintaining a 24 hour rescue program as well as spay and neuter requirements and adoption. They work to educate the public on responsible pet ownership and promote the welfare of all animals through legislation and pursuing prosecution for animal cruelty.
