Hundreds of South Carolina nonprofits to convene at Wild Dunes
In February, hundreds of nonprofit organizations will gather
at the 2015 South Carolina Nonprofit Summit, the state’s premier leadership
conference for nonprofits and their leaders, at Wild Dunes Resort on the Isle
of Palms near Charleston.
Run by nonprofits for nonprofits, the event is sponsored by
the South Carolina Association of Nonprofit Organizations (SCANPO), a
statewide, nonprofit membership organization. Held Feb. 9-11, the three-day
summit features national speakers, 10 workshops, 17 concurrent sessions on
tactical issues including fundraising and governance, and success stories from
around the state.
“Attendees will leave with a different perspective on
leadership style and with the tools they need to realize their potential,” says
Madeleine McGee, president of SCANPO. “For leaders who wake up each day
wondering how they can work better, the summit provides dozens of exciting
ideas, from how to start a gift planning program to strategic leadership
concerns including what role your organization should play in the community.”
