Social Ventures Partners Charleston Opens Application for Fast Pitch 2015

Social Ventures Partners Charleston (SVP), a local network of engaged philanthropists partnered with the Coastal Community Foundation, is currently accepting applications for the second annual Fast Pitch competition, to be held at the American Theater on Wednesday, Oct. 28 from 7-10 pm.

Modeled on venture capital funding competitions, Fast Pitch helps nonprofit organizations define their impact and powerfully communicate their vision.  The program is designed to catalyze the launch of new programs and initiatives for start-up, growth or established nonprofits.  Any 501c(3) nonprofit in the Charleston area is eligible to apply.

Eight participants will be selected from the application field to present at the Boardroom Pitch. Four finalists will be selected from the Boardroom Pitch to present at Fast Pitch and compete for seed funding.  Last year's first place winner, The Center for Heirs' Property Preservation, received $20,000 and on-going mentoring.  The second place winner, Fresh Future Farm, received $5,000.
