North Charleston nonprofit uses crowdfunding to create art from recycled goods

It pays to be resourceful at a nonprofit organization.

That's particularly true for Maia Moms, a local nonprofit that's using an online fundraising model that would not only generate startup capital for the organization, but also keep waste out of the landfill while supporting North Charleston's artistic community.
