Charleston Association of Grant Professionals (CAGP) to meet Oct. 15
The Charleston Association of Grant Professionals (CAGP) will meet Tuesday evening, Oct. 15 from 5:45 until 7:30 pm in the auditorium of the Main Branch of the Charleston County Public Library, 68 Calhoun St. in Charleston.
Amanda Holling, Business Reference Librarian, will speak about research databases that have information related to nonprofits, including the Small Business Resource Center (SBRC), Business Source Premier, and Demographics Now. SBRC has the full text of several of the Nolo Press books including those on fundraising and running nonprofits. Business Source Premier has a large number of trade journal articles including journals covering the nonprofit sector. Demographics Now has lots of easy-to-find demographics and statistics that would be helpful for grantwriting, especially since the government shutdown has forced the Census Bureau to shutter American FactFinder for the time being.
