Afternoon Tea during Spoleto
For only 10 days a year, the Outreach Learning Center at St. Matthew’s transforms itself into a welcoming, inviting & happening place during the city’s Piccolo/Spoleto Festival. Their volunteers have created a fun and lively atmosphere, offering a place to enjoy a bite of tasty, homemade choices at reasonable prices while listening to live entertainment & browsing the art exhibit.
Visit the gift boutique featuring a tremendous selection of unique and creative items. And best of all… proceeds benefit these programs offered throughout the year at the center.
The afternoon tea room is open to the public May 22-31 from noon (12:30 Sundays) -4 at 403 King St. Cost is determined by menu items selected. You can also find our items as carry out available in Marion Square park.
A ticketed, kick off event the day prior to opening on May 21 features a cooking demonstration by the head chef from Caviar and Bananas, a sample of the tea menu, a glass of wine and first opportunity to shop the unique tea boutique. Two seatings are available at 3 & 6:30. Ticket cost $25.
