Charleston Association of Grant Professionals (CAGP) to meet Feb. 18

Grant Budgeting is the topic of tonight's meeting of the Charleston Association of Grant Professionals (CAGP) from 5:45-7:30.  The group will meet in the auditorium of the Charleston County Public Library, 68 Calhoun St. in Charleston.

The speaker will be Catherine Ksenzak, Grants Manager, Charleston County Budget Department.  She will talk about the purposes of grant budgeting, steps in developing a grant budget and budget narrative, basic categories and components of grant budgets, and common budgeting mistakes and how to avoid them

Ksenzak (pronounced "Sen-zack") is Grants Manager for the Charleston County.  She has been with the County and in her current position since 1995.  As Grants Manager, Catherine is responsible for evaluating the post-award financial aspects of the county's 100+ grant projects to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
